The lack of daily access to safe water and sanitation in Solomon Islands can’t be solved by providing pipes, taps, and toilets. Appropriate training, tools, resources, and guidance is also necessary. 

Empowering communities with skills and knowledge, and developing local leaders will enable sustainable change in water management, maintenance, and hygiene.
